Crowd against military rule in Myanmar

Hundreds of folks have rallied in Myanmar’s main town, Yangon, to protest against this week’s military coup.

“Military dictator, fail, fail; Democracy, win, win,” musical the group, the biggest protest seen since the military took over.

They involved the discharge of the electoral leader Aung San Suu Kyi et al detained by the military.

The protest came despite the military’s efforts to prevent folks mobilising by motion down social media.

On Friday evening, Telenor, one among the country’s main web suppliers, confirmed it had been ordered to deny access to Twitter and Instagram “until more notice”.

The coup leaders blocked Facebook on Th for the sake of “stability”.

And on Saturday, unofficial reports emerged of a complete web closedown.
