ISIL claims responsibility for rocket attack on Afghan presidential palace during Eid prayers

Rockets were fired near the presidential palace on the occasion of Eid al-Adha in the Afghan capital, Kabul.
According to Afghan media reports, rockets were fired in the morning in the green zone of Kabul and these rockets were fired near the presidential palace.
Eid-ul-Adha prayers were being held at the presidential palace at the time of the rocket attack, which was attended by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and other senior leaders, including Chairman Afghan Reconciliation Council Abdullah Abdullah and former President Hamid Karzai.
Despite the rocket attack, Eid prayers continued at the presidential palace.
Video of Eid prayers at the presidential palace during the rocket attacks went viral on social media.
In his speech after the Eid prayers, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said that the Taliban had shown that they had no desire for peace and that they would make decisions on that basis.
