Transparency International Releases Its Report regarding Corruption

ISLAMABAD: Corruption in Islamic Republic of Pakistan is looked as if it would have multiplied compared to last year because the country currently ranks 124 out of one hundred eighty countries, four places down from 2019’s ranking, on a world corruption perceptions list ready by Transparency International (TI), a world non-governmental organization based mostly in Berlin.

The Berlin-based non-profit releases the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) per annum, ranking one hundred eighty countries and territories by their perceived levels of public sector corruption per consultants and business individuals.

Pakistan lost four positions in 2020 compared to 2019 and 7 positions compared to 2018. In 2019, Islamic Republic of Pakistan graded one hundred and twentieth on the world corruption list and 117 in 2018.

In near countries, the corruption score of Asian country, Islamic Republic of Iran and Asian country conjointly worsened by one purpose and Malaysia’s by 2 points. On the opposite hand, Afghanistan’s corruption score improved by three and Turkey’s by one.
