ISLAMABAD: The employees of Jamiat ulama Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) have blocked Islamabad’s Murree Road as they protested with the bodies of the party’s slain native leader Mufti Ikram, and his son United Nations agency were shot dead late Saturday night.
According to details, the federal police were engaged in talks with the protesters tightened immediate arrest of the assailants. Meanwhile, District Commissioner (DC) national capital Hamza Shafqaat and SSP Operations Syed Mustafa Tanweer additionally reached the spot.
Islamabad DC wise to the protestors that a primary data Report (FIR) had been registered at the Bara Kahu station house. SSP Tanweer assured the protestors that the suspects are going to be within the police’s custody shortly.
On Saturday night, JUI-F’s native leader Mufti Ikram-ur-Rehman, his 13-year-old son and a student were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Bhara Kahu space of the federal capital.
Police same the 3 of them were killed once being shot multiple times. The gunmen opened hearth at Siddique Al-Akbar Madrassa placed in Bhara Kahu during which the prayer leader and 2 others were severely out of action and later succumbed to their wounds.
Following the incident, SHO Habib-ur-Rehman same the attack seemed to be a targeted killing, adding that it had been being investigated from each angle which the suspects are going to be caught shortly.
